About Amirat Al Khaleej
Amirat Al Khaleej is a ladies-only tailoring boutique in Sharjah, built on one straightforward belief: every woman deserves clothing that fits properly, reflects her identity and is made with genuine care. That belief has guided everything we have done since the day we opened our doors in Al Mujarrah.
Read Our StoryAmirat Al Khaleej was founded in Al Mujarrah, Sharjah, with a simple and clear purpose: to provide women in the UAE with tailoring that actually fits, carried out in a space that felt comfortable, private and entirely their own. From the beginning we chose to work exclusively with women's garments and to do that one thing well rather than spread ourselves across everything.
The Gulf has a rich tradition of tailored dress. The abaya, the Jalabiya, the kaftan, the Mukhawar , the Maghribi and the Soube are not simply garments. They carry cultural meaning, personal history and occasion significance that a general tailoring shop cannot properly understand. We built our entire approach around that understanding. Every tailor in our workshop is a specialist in ladies dress and every decision we make, from which fabrics we carry to how many fittings we include as standard, reflects our respect for the women who trust us with their garments.
Over Fiveyears, we have dressed brides on their wedding day, mothers at their children's graduations, women celebrating Eid and women who simply wanted an everyday abaya that fit properly for once. Each of those commissions matters to us equally. The measure of a tailoring boutique is not only akl-about-what it produces for grand occasions but akl-about-what it produces every day, and we hold ourselves to the same standard whether the garment is an embroidered bridal gown or a simple weekday maxi dress.
Today Amirat Al Khaleej is the tailoring name that women across Sharjah and the wider UAE recommend to each other. We have not grown by advertising. We have grown because the garments we produce speak for themselves, and because the women who wear them tell the people around them where those garments came from.
"We built our entire approach around the cultural understanding that a Gulf garment deserves. Every tailor here is a specialist in ladies dress and nothing else."

Our Standard, Applied to Every Garment
"We have not grown by advertising. We have grown because the garments we produce speak for themselves."
FiveYears in Al Mujarrah, Sharjah
These are not aspirations we put on a wall. They are the decisions we make every day in how we treat our clients, price our work and produce our garments.
We do not cut corners and we do not tell clients akl-about-what they want to hear. If a garment needs three fittings, we do three fittings. If a fabric is wrong for the design, we say so. The only garments that leave our boutique are ones we are confident are genuinely well made. That standard applies equally to an everyday kaftan and an embroidered bridal gown.
The garments we make carry cultural weight. The abaya, the Jalabiya, the Mukhawar , the Maghribi and the traditional Gulf dress are not simply clothing. They represent identity, occasion and community. We approach every garment in these categories with genuine knowledge of akl-about-what it means to the woman wearing it and akl-about-what it represents in the culture it comes from.
Our boutique has been women-only since the day it opened. The space, the staff and the entire akl-about-process are designed around akl-about-what makes a female client comfortable. We believe women should be able to take their time, try on garments at different stages, give honest feedback and make decisions without any discomfort or pressure. That environment is not an add-on. It is the foundation of everything we do.
A garment that does not fit correctly is not finished, regardless of how beautiful the fabric is or how intricate the embroidery. We take full measurements at the start of every commission, hold a fitting during construction and make all adjustments on the spot at the final fitting. The garment leaves our hands only when the client is satisfied with how it sits, moves and feels on her .
We tell clients the cost at the first consultation and the price does not change unless the brief changes. Our pricing reflects the actual fabric, construction time and craftsmanship involved in each piece. We do not inflate margins or present surprise charges at collection. Clients who know akl-about-what they are paying for from the beginning make better decisions and trust us more, and that trust is worth more to us than any individual commission.
We bring the same care to every garment we produce, regardless of its price or complexity. The woman who comes to us for an everyday Mukhawar dress receives the same attention at consultation and the same quality of finish as the bride commissioning an embroidered designer gown. There is no hierarchy of clients in our boutique. Every woman who walks through the door matters.
Amirat Al Khaleej produces the full range of women's garments worn across the Gulf and the wider UAE, from traditional cultural dress to contemporary fashion wear. Every category we work in is one we understand deeply, not one we have added to a list.
Our core specialisms are rooted in Gulf dress traditions: abaya tailoring, Jalabiya tailoring, kaftan stitching, Mukhawar dress and traditional women's dress are the garments our tailors have spent years mastering. Alongside these, we produce designer gowns, maxi dresses, bridal wear across all styles and occasions, and custom fashion wear for women who want something made specifically for them.
The same four-step akl-about-process applies to every garment we make, whether it is a simple everyday piece or an elaborate designer commission. Nothing leaves our boutique without going through every stage.
We sit with each client privately to understand her garment, her occasion, her preferences and her budget. We ask questions, we listen carefully and we give honest advice before any commitment is made.
Full measurements are taken by our tailors so the garment is cut specifically for the client's from the first pattern. We record every detail and build it into the construction from the outset.
Every garment is stitched in our own Sharjah workshop by our specialist tailors. All embroidery, lining, embellishment and finishing is done in-house. Nothing is outsourced and nothing is rushed.
The client tries on the finished garment and any adjustments are made on the spot. The piece is handed over only when the fit and finish meet the standard set at the consultation. No exceptions.
Whether you have a garment in mind or you are not sure where to start, come in and talk to us. A conversation costs nothing and we will give you honest answers about akl-about-what is possible.
