At Amirat Al Khaleej, every garment we produce is made to your individual measurements through a personal consultation and fitting process. Because each piece is custom-made specifically for you, our return and refund policy reflects the nature of bespoke tailoring. Please read this policy carefully before placing a commission. If you have any questions, speak to our team before work begins.
All garments produced at Amirat Al Khaleej are custom-made to order. This means each piece is cut, stitched and finished specifically to the measurements and design requirements agreed at your consultation. As custom-made garments cannot be resold or reused, we are unable to offer returns or refunds on completed custom commissions unless the garment contains a material defect caused by our workmanship.
This policy is in accordance with standard practices for bespoke tailoring services and applies to all garment categories including abayas, jalabiyas, kaftans, gowns, maxi dresses, bridal wear, Mukhawar, Maghribi, Soube and all other custom-stitched pieces.
We include at least one fitting session as standard with every custom commission. During the fitting, we make all necessary adjustments before the garment is handed over. Bridal and designer commissions include a minimum of two fittings.
We strongly encourage all clients to attend their fitting and communicate any concerns at that stage. Adjustments raised at the fitting are made at no additional charge. Adjustments requested after the garment has been collected from our store may be subject to an additional fee depending on the nature and extent of the work required.
Important: If you are unable to attend a scheduled fitting, please notify us as early as possible so we can reschedule. Garments handed over without a fitting at the client's request are done so at the client's own risk. We cannot be held responsible for fit issues that would have been identified and corrected at a fitting session.
We stand behind the quality of every garment we produce. If a garment has a defect caused by our workmanship, we will correct it at no charge. Workmanship defects include issues such as unfinished seams, incorrect stitching, lining failures or embroidery that was not executed as agreed.
To raise a workmanship concern, please contact us within 7 days of collecting your garment and bring the piece to our store for assessment. We will inspect the garment and, if the defect is confirmed as a result of our work, we will carry out the necessary correction promptly.
The following are not considered workmanship defects and are not covered under this policy:
For custom commissions, we require a deposit at the time of consultation before work begins. The deposit amount will be communicated at the consultation and confirmed in writing. Deposits are non-refundable once fabric has been purchased and cutting has begun, as these costs are incurred directly on your behalf.
The remaining balance is due at the time of collection. We do not release completed garments until the full balance has been settled.
If you wish to cancel a commission before work has begun, please contact us immediately. If cancellation is made before fabric has been purchased, a full refund of your deposit may be considered at our discretion. Once fabric has been purchased or cutting has begun, the deposit is retained to cover material and labour costs already incurred.
For garments brought to us by clients for alteration (garments not originally made by Amirat Al Khaleej), we assess each piece before agreeing to take on the work and provide an honest recommendation and cost before any alteration begins.
Alteration work is non-refundable once completed. If you are not satisfied with an alteration result, please bring the garment back to our store and we will assess whether any further correction is possible. Our commitment is always to achieve the best possible result, and we will work with you to address any concerns raised promptly.
Please note: The outcome of alterations on garments not originally made by us is subject to the construction quality and fabric condition of the original garment. We will advise you honestly about what is achievable before work begins, but we cannot guarantee results on garments where the original construction limits what can be corrected.
Once a garment is completed and you have been notified for collection, we will hold it at our store for 30 days. After this period, Amirat Al Khaleej reserves the right to dispose of or donate uncollected garments. We will make reasonable attempts to contact you before this occurs.
Deposits and payments made for uncollected garments are non-refundable. We encourage all clients to collect their garments promptly upon notification of completion.
We always prefer to resolve any concern directly and in person. If you are unhappy with any aspect of your garment or our service, please bring the garment to our store on Abdullah Bin Salam Street, near Darwish Mosque, Al Mujarrah, Al Sharq, Sharjah and speak to our team. We will listen carefully and work to find a resolution.
If you prefer to raise a concern in writing first, you can contact us by phone or email using the details below. We aim to respond to all written enquiries within 2 business days.
